The Oyster mushrooms are so great that we thought we should grow them organic too!
The only difference between our Organic Oysters and their conventional counterpart is that we manage to get our hands on some quantities of certified organic raw materials – the remainder of the process remains exactly the same.
Their colour ranges from light brown to dark grey and its name comes from its resemblance to an oyster shell: the oysters typically have broad, thin, oyster- or fan-shaped caps.
All our Organic Oyster mushrooms carry an organic certification by Lacon Cyprus.
To the delight of all chefs out there, oyster mushrooms take little prep when cooking, since they can be used whole or chopped. They usually don’t need much cleaning either — simply wipe off any bits here or there with a damp paper towel.
These mushrooms have a delicate, mild flavour with a velvety texture.
