Portobellini mushrooms wrapped in kataifi pastry
Moisten the mushrooms with a little water and season with salt and pepper.
Lay the pastry out on a clean and dry surface.
With a fork, pull apart some strands of pastry and wrap around the mushroom.
Skewer the pastry and mushroom with a kebab stick and place into a tray in a single layer.
Deep fry in hot oil, only a few at a time as you might need to hold the skewers while you fry.
Fry until pastry is golden, remove and place on absorbent kitchen table.
