Oyster Mushrooms Gyros

Instructions

For the mushrooms

Ingredients for the mushrooms:

  • ½ kg Oyster mushrooms 
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika 
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 
  • ½ tsp dried basil 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried onion

Place the mushrooms and the spices in a bowl. Then, add the olive oil and mix them. Finally, marinate them for 20 minutes.

 

For the tzatziki

Ingredients for tzatziki:

  • 1 bowl of yogurt
  • 1tsp dried mint
  • 1 garlic clove melted 
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 grated cucumbers 
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Place the cucumbers with the salt in a strainer for 15 minutes. Then drain them and put them in a bowl with yogurt and add and mix the remaining materials.

 

For serving

  • 2 slices tomatoes 
  • 4-5 lettuce leaves 
  • 4 pies

 

Place a non-stick frying pan in strong heat. Add the mushrooms and cook for 7 to 8 minutes until crispy.

Serve in pitta along with the tzatziki, tomatoes and lettuce.
