Hoi-sin “Duck” style Mushroom Burger
Instructions
Preparing the mushrooms
Peel the mushrooms and cut the tops.
In a bowl, marinate the mushrooms with the Chinese five-spice powder, salt, pepper, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
In a pan, heat the cooking oil and fry the mushrooms until they brown.
Add honey and let it caramelize, then add teriyaki sauce and Hoi Sin sauce.
Transfer the mushrooms to a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10 minutes.
For the cucumber salad
Slice the cucumbers thinly and place them in a bowl.
Add the chili, chopped garlic, fresh ginger, green onion, mint, soy sauce, sesame oil, and salt.
Mix well and set aside.
Final touches
Toast the buns on a tray with butter.
Fill them with the mushrooms and cucumber salad.
